This week’s ‘Get to know’ blog features James Ford. James is our Account Manager, and he works hard ensuring our customers get everything they need, and that they are getting real value from our services. He also conducts Business Review meetings with our customers, and is the go-to contact for quotes, queries and any complaints.
If you’ve ever called or visited our offices, the chances are you’ve met him!
What led you to your career in the IT industry?
JF: Redundancy, and a desire to change my work-life balance. A combination of skill-sets from two previous careers led me to IT and m3.
Name an interesting fact or a hidden talent we don’t know about.
JF: I once lost 9 stone in 11 months, a skill I need to repeat!
What would you say is the most exciting part about your job?
JF: Variety – every day is different at m3, with multiple tasks from Installations and projects to sales & procurement to account management and keeping our customers happy.
If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would do?
JF: Invest in m3 networks and sit back watching everyone including the 3 ‘M’s work harder to make me richer!
What would you say inspires you and why?
JF: Pride, doing my job to the best of my ability and being successful. Seeing the company grow and evolve based partly on my success and seeing others benefit from my experience.
What is your favourite thing about working for m3?
JF: The culture of the business is very different to the corporate world, it’s a fantastic place to work and we are like one big family. Plus, I must give an honourable mention to Mary’s cheesecake’s!
How do you define success?
JF: Our positive client feedback and quarterly reviews which lead to a bonus.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
JF: Septimius Severus – Roman emperor – google him 😊.
What are 3 words you would use to describe m3?
JF: Technically Brilliant Family.
