Following the success of our previous Cyber Security Breakfast in Dundee, on the 17th of July we had another Cyber Security Breakfast in Perth. The event was in partnership with the Royal Bank of Scotland, and we had the pleasure of hosting a range of attendees, both current clients and non clients. Some of who were already on the cyber security path, and some who were completely new to the idea.
The morning started off with some networking and most importantly, some breakfast.

We followed this successful start with Emma Miller from the Royal Bank of Scotland giving a brief welcome to the event.

After Emma had welcomed our guests, Mark Riddell, m3’s very own Managing Director took centre stage. We started off with Mark briefly discussing how m3 came to be (click here if you’d like to read more), and what we do as a company. Mark then delved into the juicy stuff, discussing the current threat climate, and even pulling up a few email receipts of real life cyber threats m3 have tackled.

Cyber Security Tips
Mark then gave away some tips on how our attendees can immediately implement security measures and improve their standards. This included tips on things you shouldn’t do (whereby plenty of our attendees had moments of – “I really should stop doing that”).

Cyber Essentials Scheme
To round up our cyber security talks, we then discussed the Cyber Essentials scheme. We show how businesses can reduce their risk of a cyber attack by 80%, and get £1,000 of funding towards the certification. To find out more about how Cyber Essentials can benefit your business, click here.
Next event
After today’s great feedback, we look forward to our next Cyber Security Breakfast, which will be the 21st of August 2019. We would also like to thank everyone who attended.
